Bio: For Mindy Finn, adapting our political entities to the Information Age is not only a job, it’s her livelihood. Mindy recently joined Mitt Romney’s presidential campaign as Director of eStrategy where she is focused on using the web and technology to help Mitt Romney reach more Americans and to empower voters to raise money and mobilize grassroots support for Mitt.

Mindy served in a similar role for Senator Rick Santorum’s 2006 campaign as Director of New Media & Technology, overseeing and implementing the campaign’s web strategy. She also guided the campaign’s use of microtargeting to contact and turn out key voters.

Through her efforts, Senator Santorum recruited over 50,000 active volunteers, provided outreach vehicles to more than 20 coalitions and raised $1.3 million over the Internet, more than any other candidate in cycle. Mindy was recognized by the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review for being the Republicans’ best cyber campaigner in the nation and recognized by PoliticsPA for being one of Pennsylvania’s most accomplished political operatives 26 and under.

Prior to serving Santorum, Mindy served as Deputy Director of the Republican National Committee’s eCampaign in 2005 and as Deputy Webmaster for the Bush-Cheney campaign in 2004. She started her career on Capitol Hill where she worked on both the House and Senate side in communications and technology roles.

As she takes the lessons learned from aggressive campaigns in 2004 and 2006, Mindy looks forward to enhancing traditional grassroots campaign techniques through the use of technology. She is encouraged that the number of people in politics who “get it” grows every day and will continue to do her part in educating those who are not quite there.

Mindy resides in Boston, Massachusetts and Washington, D.C. and originally hails from Houston, Texas. She enjoys traveling, warm weather, dancing, country music, and yes, even an occasional day of leaving the BlackBerry at home.
