Bio: Tom is a graduate student at Seton Hall University, dual majoring in Public Administration and Diplomacy/International Relations.

He works for SHU's Division of Volunteer Efforts (DOVE) as a Graduate Assistant, coordinating social service programs, volunteerism and servant leadership.

Additionally, Tom worked as an Administrative Intern last summer for two municipalities in New Jersey, the Borough of Mendham and Mendham Township. Since then, he has been hired in a less than full-time, more than part-time capacity, and enjoys telling people he is now an "Administrative Consultant." If he tells you this at PdF 2007, please feel free to call him out!

In both the municipal and university positions, Tom strives to elicit the most from technology. Some of the projects he coordinates include: web design, workflow distribution, budget preparation, municipal ordinance codification and pledge/donation income, among many others.

His research thesis involves the creation of a not-for-profit that uses urban planning technology (namely Google SketchUp) at a purely grassroots level, directly involving citizens and community organizations in fabricating the future vision for their community.

On a personal level, Tom is all about grilling (note photo!), ultimate frisbee, Manasquan, worldly travel, rooibos, bocce ball, physicality and subtitles, in that order. He's also befuddled and disturbed that he has been writing about himself in the third person.
